Report on Industrial Visit to Water Treatment Plant, Jamnagar

An industrial visit to a water treatment plant near Sadhana Colony, Pump House, Jamnagar, was organized through JMC on 20-3-2024. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Shri R. S. Oza, Shri M. M. Nathani, Shri Rajiv B. Dabhi, and Ms. Sejal Colarwala.

During the visit, students gained practical insights into the water treatment process, including the sources of raw water, various treatment stages, and the types of filter materials used. Experts explained the functioning of sedimentation tanks, coagulation and filtration units, and the role of disinfectants in ensuring safe drinking water. The visit provided a comprehensive understanding of modern water treatment technologies and their significance in maintaining public health.
