Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of the engineering field, which gives solutions to various realistic problems and hence is considered the Evergreen branch.

The mechanical department was started at this institute with an intake capacity of 30 seats in 1983. Currently, departmental intake has increased to 180 students. 

The teaching-learning process is enhanced by the use of student-centered techniques and under the guidance of well-trained, enthusiastic, self-motivated faculty and staff members.
