An awareness seminar on SSIP 2.0 and Smart Gujarat Hackathon was conducted on 7th March 2025 at Room No. 207, New Building, Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar. The session was specially arranged for Electronics & Communication (EC) Department students, with a total of 25 students in attendance.

The session began with a brief welcome and opening address by Shri S. A. Pithia, EC Department faculty, encouraging students to actively participate in SSIP and hackathon events to enhance their innovation skills.

Shri R. K. Borsaniya, SSIP Coordinator, delivered a detailed session covering the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) 2.0 and the Smart Gujarat Hackathon (SGH). He highlighted key aspects including the purpose, benefits, funding opportunities and institutional support for both initiatives. Students were also guided on team formation, problem identification, and proposal submission processes.

The talk emphasized the importance of innovation, teamwork and technical problem-solving in real-world contexts and motivated students to make use of institutional platforms to bring their ideas into action.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri S. A. Pithia, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and speaker, and encouraged students to take the first step toward innovation by engaging with SSIP and hackathon opportunities.
