Teachers' Day Celebration

On September 5, 2024, the Mechanical Engineering Department at Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar, organized a Teachers' Day celebration in collaboration with the ISTE Student Chapter. Held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM across multiple venues (Rooms 322, 324, 201A, 321, and 314), the event engaged students from the 1st, 3rd, and 5th semesters of the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Faculty members, including conveners A. M. Galan, Dr. H. Parekh, Dr. S. S. Sonigara, and V. R. Maniar, along with coordinators S. B. Konak, M. M. Bodla, D. V. Vadalia, and S. Z. Pathan, and ISTE coordinators N. B. Sanghani, H. H. Shah, K. M. Chavda, and H. J. Wadhavana, facilitated the event. The celebration aimed to honor educators for their invaluable contributions and strengthen the bond between students and faculty.

The program featured a series of engaging activities. Students delivered heartfelt speeches highlighting the profound impact of teachers on their academic and personal growth, while faculty shared their teaching experiences, emphasizing the joy of shaping young minds. Interactive Q&A sessions allowed students to discuss academic challenges and personal development with their teachers, fostering open communication. As a gesture of gratitude, students presented handmade cards and tokens of appreciation, symbolizing respect and admiration. The event successfully cultivated a sense of community, reinforcing the value of the teaching profession. It provided a platform for students to express gratitude and reflect on the critical role of educators. The Mechanical Engineering Department noted the event’s success in deepening student-faculty connections and expressed enthusiasm for continuing this tradition to celebrate the transformative influence of teachers.
