The celebration of International
Women's Day was held with great enthusiasm and zeal on 9th of March
2021 at Government Polytechnic Jamnagar. The chief guests of the program were
Ms. Asthaben Dangar, Provincial Officer, Jamnagar City Area and Ms. Kalpanaba
Jadeja, PSI of B Division Women's Police Station, Jamnagar City. Deputy
Collector Ms. Asthaben Dangar, who was present on the occasion, encouraged the
students to build a career with their goal in mind. In addition, P.S.I. Ms.
Kalpanaba Jadeja informed about how the help of police can be taken to prevent
any difficult situation. The principal of the institute, Shri. A K Zala
provided guidance to the students to study positively and achieve success in
the field of engineering. The Head of every department remained present in the
program and increased the enthusiasm of the students. On this occasion, the
faculty of the institute, Dr Komal Raichura, gave information about the
functioning of the Women Development Cell of the organization.
In making this program a success, not only the Convener of the Woman Development Cell, Dr Urmi Joshi and member convener Dr Komal Raichura but also faculty members, Ms Mayuri Lalani, Ms Hinal Shah, Ms Sejal Kolarwala, Ms Jaynika Kagathara, Ms Nirali Thacker along with other female staff put in great efforts. About 50 girl students and 20 staff members participated in the Women's Day program which filled the ambience with immense energy.
