The celebration of International Women's Day was held with great excitement and zeal on 8^th of March 2022 at Government Polytechnic Jamnagar. This year the theme of the women’s day celebration was “Gender equality today for sustainable tomorrow”. The principal of the institute, Shri. A K Zala gave his speech on gender equality  and gender sensitivity at campus.

The Head of every department remained present in the program, gave their valuable speech and increased the enthusiasm of the students.

Student of 1^st sem civil Ms. Hirva Zaveri also gave her ideas on gender equality. On this occasion, the faculty of the institute, Dr Komal Raichura, gave information about the functioning of the Women Development Cell of the organization.

In making this program a success, the Chairperson of the Woman Development Cell, Dr Urmi Joshi , members  of WDC, Ms Hinal Shah & Ms Sejal Kolarwala , Ms. V. J. Bhoraniya and faculty members Dr. Komal Raichura, Ms. N.V. Khanpara,  Ms Nirali Thakar ,Ms. Nehal Chauhan along with other female staff put in great efforts.

About 40 girl students and 20 staff members participated in the Women's Day program which filled the ambience with immense energy.
